The concept of hydro electric power plants automation is a distributed SCADA type system, accomplished by means of PLC-s performing:
Control and monitoring of hydro units and their related installations; Control and monitoring of ancillary units of the power plant (including the power stations pertaining to the power plant); Monitoring all protections; Measuring all electrical parameters; Measuring all hydro-mechanical parameters; Measuring all hydraulic parameters; Measuring all energetic parameters; Measuring of temperatures, vibrations, runner shape, hydro generator air gap; Diagnosis of units condition and of related installations; -
Communication with the dispatching station. |
